What is the primary role of the NWMC in COGIC?

The central idea is recognizing the National Women's Missionary Council as the denomination’s coordinating and supporting body for women’s missionary and outreach work. It brings together, equips, and resources women across COGIC to carry out missions and ministry, offering training, leadership development, and materials to strengthen both national initiatives and local women’s ministries. This focus on mobilizing and supporting women’s outreach sets it apart from roles like managing church finances and property, overseeing men's programs, or planning worship services, which fall to other groups or church leaders.
