Which doctrine studies the nature of man?

Anthropology in theology is the study of human nature, including what it means to be made in the image of God, the composition of person (body and soul/spirit), and human origin and destiny. That focus on what it means to be human is why it’s the best fit for examining the nature of man. Pneumatology, by contrast, centers on the Holy Spirit. Hamartiology deals with sin and its effects. Theology is the broad study of God and divine truths. So while those areas cover important topics, they don’t specifically address the nature of humanity the way anthropology does.
